Century Park

Century Park is located in Shanghai, China. It is within Pudong’s cultural and administrative center, at the heart of the Inner ring of Shanghai. The park is full of natural features and is a great example of an eco-city park. It has taken on the nickname “the Holiday Park”.
 
The park was designed by the British Company LUC, it covers a total area of 140.3 hectares, with a total cost of 1 Billion RMB. The design reflects the Western ideal of merging nature with man. The main area of the park consists of large rolling lawns areas, forests, and lakes. These natural areas of the park house scenic lake views, a bird sanctuary, and exotic parks. Other scenic areas include: the Century Park Flower Clock, mirror lake, Century plum garden, cherry island magnolia forest, oriental pearl bonsai garden, a statue of Li Bai to commemorate the martyrs, and the Pudong sculpture square. The park also has an amusement park, leisure bikes, sightseeing tours, boats, a floating restaurant, a museum, as well as restaurants, coffee bars, souvenir shops and convenient stores.  
 
2012, the Park’s native pastoral areas were desiged as "Shanghai Science Education Base" region, by combining two-dimensional code graphic displays, to introduce visitors to the hundreds of species of flowers, trees, and scientific knowledge, so that visitors can learn more about the garden, while enjoying nature.
 
Century Park is an oasis within the heart of Shanghai full of grass, flowers, bushes, and tress. Century Park warmly welcomes you to come and visit.
