The BuddyDog story began in 2009 when two good friends Charis Choong & Fiona Chan were looking for a place to leave their dogs when they were going on a home trip to Singapore during Chinese New Year. Like many other expatriates working in Shanghai with pets, they started their search for the best place for their dogs. However, after a lot of shopping around, there never seemed to have a place that could give them the peace of mind.
At that time, they met Tony Chen, a dog trainer. Tony started his dog-training career with police force training working dogs and later moved on to training pet dogs for several years. Tony’s passion and love for dogs deeply impressed Charis and Fiona. So three of them came together to start BuddyDog with the aim to provide the best services in dog boarding and training in Shanghai.
Today, Buddydog has established itself as one of the best dog boarding and training providers in Shanghai. It occupies a 5,000 sqm compound in Pudong new district. It has English-speaking staff to facilitate communications with foreign customers. The facility offers an agility field; several play areas, air-conditioned indoor/outdoor suites, grooming center, indoor training room and several features to provide the best experiences for dogs staying with us.
